Death of a legend



Syd Barrett, founder of Pink Floyd has died. I may be wrong about him founding the group.

As a mark of respect there will be a 27 minute silence, with psychedelic light show.



Also officially dead today is Windows 98, but I still use it at home.

    Founder is correct.

    Windows will never die...it is the undead (except when it crashes, about 5 times a day).

    I wasn't sure if Syd counted as a founder as I read that Roger Waters invited him to join the band. I wasn't born when that happened.

    My copy of Windows 98 came with my PC. I still need it for a couple of things, but mainly so the kids can run some old games. There's no way I am buying XP just for that. Linux serves me well on my main PC.
