Big Garden Birdwatch

Another year, another RSPB survey. We beat our record with 11 species recorded this time

  • 1 blackbird
  • 1 blue tit
  • 1 chaffinch
  • 1 coal tit
  • 1 collared dove
  • 1 dunnock
  • 2 great tits
  • 2 sparrows
  • 1 robin
  • 1 wren
Don't see the wren all the time, so that was good to see. There may have been others in the garden, but we can't see it all from any one window.

    We might have had different results today. I've seen lots of sparrows, several chaffinches, starlings, a pigeon and a magpie.

    The fieldfare seems to be a regular visitor to feast on fallen apples, but he doesn't like the blackbirds and chases them away.
